Pekin Mall- (Pekin, IL)

The East Court Village, formerly known as Pekin Mall, is the dead mall in the south central park of Illinois, off Illinois Route 9 in Pekin, half an hour from Peoria and is anchored, or...the stores consist of original anchor Bergner's, Hobby Lobby, and Biglots, Petco, and some small stores.

The mall opened in the late 60s or 70s with Bergner's, JCPenney, and Sears, possibly some other anchor, not sure what, does anyone?

In 2002, the mall came down, in pieces, the inside does not remain, roads were put where the stores once shopped at were.

JCPenney closed in 2002 and Goody's clothing store opened in 2004.

Hobby Lobby and Big Lots is where the Sears was, but a long time ago.

Here is what the remains of the mall looked like in December 2013:

JCPenney?

Here is an old mall map of Pekin Mall, does not have a year, but telling by some of the names, it is indeed old.

Here is some mall footage from 2002, likely right before the mall interior was demolished.
