Mall of the Bluffs- (Council Bluffs, IA)


In the County of Pottawattamie, there lies the town of Council Bluffs, Iowa, 20 minutes from Downtown Omaha. The mall once housed 5 anchor stores, but now only has a Dillard's clearance center, Planet Fitness, and a few inline stores and a some eateries in the food court.

A one time, the time, Mall of the Bluffs anchor stores included Sears, Target, JCPenney, Barnes & Noble and over 60 stores.

Many of the stores closed because they relocated to better malls like Westroads in Omaha, or like Sears, closed to cut costs, and Target and JCPenney built new stores in nearby shopping plazas and strip centers.
