FIND: Vintage Yarn Wrapper's

While cleaning out a box of old papers and receipts, I came across some old yarn wrapper's that I got from Goodwill a few years ago, and I immediately thought of writing an article on them for the "FIND" segment of TTTM.

Leewards was a craft store chain based in Elgin, Illinois, founded in 1945 and was purchased by rival chain Michael's Craft Stores in 1994. The logo slightly resembles the font used by Jefferson Ward, but had no relation between the two companies.

Always love finding old Kmart packaging, the late 60's Kresge Key logo, and 70's throughout the 80's. I have a box of envelopes and old Christmas lights in the box that fit into this era.

Venture Department Store, unusual because  have never seen a tag that used green font, but this might have designated what department yarn was in.

If this is leaving the best for last, Woolworth and Woolco will always be at the end of a post, straight out of the 70's, the old chato font Woolworth logo, and Woolco still accompanying by its side.
