Indian Mound Mall- (Heath, OH)


Hey, first mall to be posted from Ohio, what an honor, anyway, Indian Mound mall is a shopping center located in Licking county of all things to name it, outside Columbus in the small town of Heath, Ohio. The malls current anchor stores are JCPenney, Elder-Beerman, Sears, and Dick's Sporting Goods.





Indian Mound mall opened in 1986 with anchor south 30th street in Health, Ohio and the original anchor stores included Elder-Beerman, JCPenney, and Lazarus, and small discount department store chain Hills.

Crown Cinema was added in 1988.

In 1997, Sears was added to the mall by replacing some smaller free standing stores and the theater was expanded from six screens to eleven, and changing the name to Hollywood theater.

In 1998, Elder-Beerman expanded there store.




In 1999, the Hills chain was acquired by Ames thus the store turned into Ames not long before the field for bankruptcy and closed in 2002.

Steve & Barry's moved into the store in 2004, and has since been vacant after closing in 2009.




When Lazarus closed in 2004, a Goody's clothing store opened in 2005. When Goody's closed in May 2008, eventually Dick's Sporting Goods opened in 2011.
