Laurel Park Place- (Livonia, MI)


Laurel Park Place is an enclosed shopping mall in the Detroit suburb of Livonia, Michigan and is anchored by Carson Pirie Scott and Von Maur, a movie theater and is attached to a Marriott hotel.

The mall opened in 1989, originally featuring the Marriott hotel, office building, Jackson, MI- based Jacobson's Department Store, which was the largest store in the chain.

Parisian Department Store opened its first Michigan location here in 1994.

Jacobson's declared bankruptcy and closed its Livonia store in 2002, and Von Maur filled the space in 2003.

Food court was added in 2008.

In January 2013, The Bon-Ton Corporation, owners of the three Parisian Department Stores in the Detroit area, which is including the Livonia store, announced they will eliminate the Parisian name and change the stores to Carson's.
