Jefferson Mall- (Louisville, KY)

Jefferson Mall is an enclosed mall in the south suburbs of Louisville, Kentucky and is anchored by Macy's, Sears, Dillard's, and JCPenney. The mall is  over 950,000 square feet and is one floor.

Opening in 1978, the mall is named after the county it is located in, the malls original anchor stores were Sears, JCPenney, Shillito's, and Stewart Dry Goods.

Shillito's became Lazarus, then Lazarus-Macy's in 2003, before dropping the Lazarus name in 2005, and Dillard's opened in the former Stewart Dry Goods.

In 1999, the mall was given a food court and major renovations in 2003 following a claim in the local newspapers about the mall being overlooked, and not as popular as the malls in eastern Louisville like Oxmoor Center or Mall St. Matthews.
