Oxmoor Center is a mid-size mall in suburban Louisville, Kentucky and has anchor stores Dick's Sporting Goods, Macy's, Sears, and Von Maur and is one floor with over 100 stores and is 960,000 square feet.
The mall opened in 1971 with Shillito's and the malls east end, and Stewart's Department Store on the west end and a Yudofsky Furriers store next to it. In 1982, Shillito's was rebranded as Shillito Rikes, then Lazarus in 1986, and Lazarus- Macy's in 2003, then to finally Macy's in 2005.In 1984, Sears opened an anchor store that relocated from a stand alone location. The Stewarts store was rebranded six times from 1985 to 2003, names include L.S. Aryes, Ben Snyder's ,Hess's, Jacobson's and finally Von Maur.
A food court opened in 1989, and in 1998, the mall was majorly renovated.
In October 2001, Galyan's opened a sporting goods store that later became Dick's in 2004.
