Adrian Mall- (Adrian, MI)

Adrian Mall is an enclosed mall on the edge of the Ohio/ Michigan border in the small town of Adrian, Michigan. The mall opened in 1970, and currently is anchored by Hobby Lobby (Former Sears), JCPenney, and Elder- Beerman.

The mall opened September 3, 1970, and the original anchor stores included Sears and F.W. Woolworth, and JCPenney opening in April 1971.

In 1985, the mall went under an expansion with the addition of an Elder- Beerman Department Store.

The mall was hit hard by the recession as any store or mall with the lost of Waldenbooks, Sam Goody, followed by Sears closing in 2012.

In 2013, mall renovations included the former Sears store to be divided and Hobby Lobby would open in the mall and the current MC Sports location would expand.

Here are pictures of the mall from March 2013:

There was a former Hot N' Now location down the road from the mall, this was a local Michigan chain that add its peak, had around 150 locations around the United States, based in Holt, Michigan, and now has only has one operating location in Sturgis, Michigan.
