American Mall- (Lima, OH)

Gone, the mall is gone, lived its life, and met its fate. The American Mall was located West Elm Street on the west side of Lima, Ohio and had mad competition with the thriving Lima mall down the road, what I would say is the more popular area of town.

The mall opened in 1965 and the last anchor stores were Value City Department Store and The Andersons General Store.

There was a Montgomery Ward then a Burlington Coat Factory some where down the line.
There was a Phar-Mor until 2003.

Here are pictures from March 2013, before the mall was demolished in early 2014:

There is more to be said about this mall, but it requires assistance. if anyone has anything to say, feel free to comment and post below.

Thank you for reading.
