Lakeside Mall is a full size, super regional mall in Sterling Heights, MI and is currently anchored by JCPenney, Sears, Lord & Taylor, two Macy's stores as well as H&M, which was the first in the state, and opened in June 2006 and over 150 stores.
The mall opened in 1976 with Hudson's, Sears, local Detroit department store Crowley's, and JCPenney.
Lord & Taylor opened in 1978.
In 1999, Crowley's filed for bankruptcy and closed there stores, and Hudson's purchased the empty Crowley's at Lakeside and converted it to a Hudson's men and home goods store.
In 2001, Hudson's stores were renamed Marshall Field's as part of a nameplate consolidation with Target Corp, the owners of Hudson's, then Marshall Field's.
Steve & Barry's opened in the mall and in 2006, the first H&M in the state of Michigan opened in June.
Marshall Field's was then converted to Macy's in 2006, both Hudson's stores were re-branded as Macy's.
In 2007, major renovations were announced, which included new signage and improved access around the mall for shoppers as well as exterior work, which was all complete in 2009.
It was running late, these are the only pictures of the mall I got from March 2013:
