White Oaks Mall- (Springfield, IL)

The White Oaks Mall sits on the southwest side of the capital city, Springfield, IL and is currently anchored by Bergner's, Macy's, JCPenney, Sears, as well as HHGregg, Dicks Sporting Goods and LA Fitness.

The mall originally opened in 1977 with Myer Brothers Department Store, Famous-Barr, Sears, and Montgomery Ward.

In 1982, The Myer Store changed names to Bergner's, and the mall went under renovations in the 1990s that included the addition of a food court.

Montgomery Ward closed in 2001, and the store was converted to Dick's, World Market, and Linens N' Things.

Famous-Barr was bought by Macy's and changed names in 2006.

Linens N' Things closed in 2008 and HHGregg opened in the space in 2013

The mall began another renovation process in 2011 that was complete in late 2012.

White Oaks Mall has over 115 store with the addition of LA Fitness in late 2013.
