The Mayfair Mall is one of the higher end malls in the suburbs of Milwaukee, in Wauwatosa, WI, the mall currently has anchor stores Boston Store, Macy's, and AMC Theater, with Nordstrom opening in the fall of 2015. There is also Barnes & Noble and over 180 inline stores, also The Cheesecake Factory and Crate & Barrel are in the parking lot.
The Mall opened in 1958 with over 70 stores, and anchor stores Marshall Field's and Gimbels. Marshall Field's opened in 1959. In 1973, the mall was enclosed and an office tower was built in 1975, and another began construction in November 1977. In 1986, the mall went under a 15 million dollar renovation and a two level atrium was built, featuring a food court. The expansion included 109 stores and Boston Store replaced Gimbels.
Barnes & Noble opened in 1999 and a Crate & Barrel opened in 2005, and Marshall Field's was converted to Macy's a year later.
