Northbrook Court-(Northbrook, IL).

The Northbrook Court is a very luxurious, and is one of meany semi-regional malls to house some of the most upscale collection of stores in the country. The mall serves the North Shore suburbs of Chicago and sits on a 130 acre plot accessible from Lakecook Rd., IL RT-41 (Skokie Hwy), and the Edens Expy (I-94).

The mall is currently anchored by Lord & Taylor, Macy's, and Nieman  Marcus as well as a 14-screen cinama detached on the south side of the mall, Their is also a free standing Crate and Barrel home store on the northwest corner of the mall, which opened in 2002.

As Northbrook Court opened in 1976, it was originally anchored by Neiman Marcus, I. Magnin, Lord & Taylor, and Sears.

The I. Magnin closed in 1992 and a general Cinema multiplex theater.

Sears closed some time in the 80's, which was replaced by a JCPenney that quickly closed in 1992. The Sears/JCPenney building was demolished and replaced with a Marshall Fields that opened in 1995.

Marshall Field's was converted to Macy's in 2006 after Federated Department Stores Inc. and The May Department Stores Company was purchased by Macy's.

The General Cinema, that originally moved from Deerbrook Mall in 1997, was aquired by AMC Theatres in 2001.

The food court has undergone many changed since the mall first opened, homes to the usual mall fare as well like McDonald's and Sbarro, now houses more pristine eateries to create a more sophisticated restaurant atmosphere.

Today, Northbrook Court is home to over 100 upscale retailers to suite the many tastes of shoppers in the Chicago area and visiters including Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Peacock, Lulu Lemon, Elite by Sports Authority and many more.
